Christian Hofman

Christian Hofman has been working at Vallenduuk since 2015 and will be affiliated with the office as of 2020 as a partner. Christian studied law at the University of Amsterdam and graduated in constitutional and administrative law. Subsequently, Christian worked at De Nederlandsche Bank, where he dealt with both civil law and administrative law issues. Afterwards, Christian worked at a law firm in Amsterdam. Here he mainly gained experience in civil (procedural) practice. Due to his affinity with and experience in both public and private law, Christian is widely deployable within Vallenduuk’s practice.

At Vallenduuk, Christian has many years of experience in legally assisting (transport) companies in the field of CMR cargo liability. In addition, Christian is a specialist in handling disputes about (logistical) trade agreements. He also advises and litigates in employment and collective labor agreements. For example, he regularly represents carriers in proceedings related to compliance with the collective labor agreement for professional road transport.

 Finally, Christian is also a lawyer for clients in criminal cases. Since his appointment at Vallenduuk, he has assisted clients as a solicitor and in the substantive handling of their criminal cases. For carriers, this experience is useful in proceedings concerning economic offenses such as driving without a license or overloading. Expert assistance and an open approach to the client are always paramount at Christian.

In 2017, Christian was the winner of the moot court competitions of the Noord-Holland district.
