Tarek Fouad is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fouad Law Firm (FLF), an Egyptian law firm established in 2024 following more than fifteen years of private practice across Egypt and the wider MENA region. Before founding FLF, he served as Partner and Head of Projects & Infrastructure at ALC – Alieldean Weshahi & Partners, where he advised on major construction, hospitality and infrastructure projects while working closely with public authorities on significant urban developments.
His practice spans corporate, administrative, real estate, construction and structured finance matters relevant to hospitality and tourism investments. The establishment of FLF reflects his decision to build an independent practice focused on hospitality, projects and integrated transactional work in Egypt.
Tarek’s practice focuses on the legal and regulatory framework governing hotel development, operation and tourism-related investments in Egypt. He regularly advises hotel owners, developers, investors and public authorities on licensing, hotel and branded residence management agreements, franchise arrangements, land use issues and regulatory compliance.
He also advises on the construction and contractual aspects of hospitality developments and on financing matters arising in the context of large-scale development projects. This combination of construction, finance and hospitality experience enables him to advise throughout the lifecycle of hospitality projects, from development through commencement of operations.
During his tenure at ALC, Tarek advised governmental stakeholders on legal issues arising from major urban developments, including design-build contracts and financing arrangements for Central Business District projects involving governmental authorities, international contractors and financing institutions.
His experience also includes advising on hotel management and franchise agreements, shareholders’ agreements, share acquisitions, concession arrangements, design-build contracts and financing documentation relating to mixed-use and hospitality developments.
