A new Parisian boutique has been formed by four former lawyers from Clifford Chance’s French office.
The group branded itself as Lawington and comprises Anne-Hortense Joulie, Avi Amsellem, Fabrice Cacoub and Michael Levy. Joulie left the magic circle firm last year to join local boutique Virgile, where she most recently headed the litigation department. Amsellem (employment), Cacoub (corporate) and Levy (employment) were lawyers in Clifford Chance’s Paris branch.
The new practice will cover employment, M&A, dispute resolution and contract law. Lawington officially opened this month.
The firm is the second spin-off in Paris so far in 2010. Last week it was announced that Benoit Le Bars, a partner at Hammonds Hausmann in Paris, left to establish his own arbitration business.
