David Stewart was previously a partner at City firm Olswang LLP where he headed the commercial litigation team from 1998 to 2007, when he became Managing Partner until he left in late October 2014. He moved to the Turks and Caicos in 2015. David is a vastly experienced litigation and arbitration expert, and also sits regionally as an Arbitrator and Mediator (both independently and under the auspices of
JAMS. David has also acted as an advocate and as a Trustee in contentious trust matters.
David works alongside the leading Turks and Caicos litigation team at Griffiths and Partners , which includes Chambers Band 1 ranked Senior Advocate Conrad Griffiths QC, and David Cadman.
In addition to litigation , David works closely with the firm’s clients in dealing with Government and Regulators. David is Secretary to both the Trust and Company Law Advisory Committees in the Turks and Caicos, and chairs the Finance Industry Association and the Bar Council Legislative Committee.
