Hatim El Khatib obtained a Master’s in private law in 1993, a professional lawyer’s certificate in 1994, a graduate certificate in civil law in 2005, a graduate certificate in business law in 1996, as well as a diploma in business management from San Telmo Business School in Seville. He has been a senior lawyer since 1998.
Between March 1998 and May 1999, Mr El Khatib practised as an adviser within the Cabinet of the then Minister of Communication, M Mohamed Larbi Messari.
In May 1999, he joined Arthur Andersen (currently E&Y, since 2003) as a project manager in the Legal Consulting Division of the firm, of which he became Director in 2002.
During his functions, he has assisted as legal counsel to numerous national and international investors, and has participated in the development of many large-scale projects in tourism and industrial areas.
In late 2005, he joined Elkhatib Law Firm as an associate lawyer.
Subsequently, he has assisted national and international private investors and public institutions in the implementation and achievement of their projects, and has represented – before various courts and arbitration bodies of the Kingdom – the interests of various public and private institutions, particularly in commercial matters.
Today, Mr El Khatib is the Managing Partner of Elkhatib Law Firm, and is accustomed to working directly on the firm’s main files and consultancy, as well as tending to matters of litigation and arbitration.
