Stéphanie Zaks

Stéphanie ZAKS is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) in Paris and the Faculty of Law of Nanterre (Paris X). She has been a lawyer at the Paris Bar since January 2005 and since then has practiced in media law and entertainment, white collar crime and labour law.

Stéphanie ZAKS worked in the firms Lysias, Dartevelle Benazeraf Merlet Dubest and Mayer Brown, renowned in these matters.

She created her firm in 2011 and works with several collaborating lawyers and a legal assistant. Stéphanie ZAKS assists press organs, publishing houses and individuals in media and entertainment litigation (requests for inclusion of the right of reply, legal actions for defamation, insult and violation of image rights and privacy, requests for deletion and delisting of content on the internet, legal actions for infringement, unfair competition and parasitism, etc.)., for companies and executives. She also assists perpetrators and victims of criminal offences, particularly in criminal business and labor law. Finally, she works on all aspects of labour law, both in advice and in litigation.

Maître Stéphanie ZAKS, passionate about the exercise of her profession, benefits from significant judicial experience. She has intervened in sensitive and high-stakes litigation. Having studied in Irish and German and Universities Stéphanie ZAKS has a very good command of the English and German languages in which she works regularly, especially for foreign clients.

Stéphanie ZAKS is a member of the scientific council of the Association of Lawyers Practicing Press Law (AAPDP).

She was honored lawyer of the year Media and Entertainment as part of Lawyer Monthly magazine’s Legal Adwards 2022.

Maître Stéphanie ZAKS regularly conducts internal investigations following reports of criminally reprehensible facts.

She regularly leads training sessions on press law, the protection of journalists’ sources and e-reputation.
