Vladimir Trey

Vladimir is Managing Partner at Trey Legal LLC, a lawyer and the Russian trademark and design attorney. He started his career in the IP field in 1999 at the biggest Russian IP law firm.  Now he is heading a private legal practice, where he is one of the founders. More than twenty-year experience allows him to provide thorough and tailored client-oriented advice to clients in respect of different aspects of protection and enforcement of IP rights. During his career Vladimir has represented numerous international and domestic clients in various cases before the Russian IP Office, Chamber of Patent Disputes, courts including IP Court and administrative bodies.

His sphere of activity includes developing strategies for the optimal IP rights protection, IP prosecution, opposing and cancelling IP rights, assignment of IP rights, anti-counterfeiting, unfair competition, matters relating to collision of IP rights and dispute resolution. He has been representing clients in different cases connected with recognition of trademarks well-known in the Russian Federation, obtaining protection for non-traditional trademarks (color marks, sound marks etc) as well as in complicated enforcement matters. International IP rankings named Vladimir as one of the leading trademark specialists in Russia multiple times. He participates (also as a speaker) in professional conferences and seminars and he is a member of several professional associations (INTA, ECTA). On a regular basis Vladimir’s articles were published in international and Russian specialized magazines.
